Questioned authorship analysis of an email

Just completed an initial assessment on 31  text(s) re viability for a more in-depth forensic stylistic analysis for a major international law firm (representing a local client). The questioned authorship text was a single email, and I was sent 30 other texts by the ‘suspect’ author and others to look for stylistic markers (text type, lexical features, rhetorical ‘moves’ etc.) to see if the questioned email was actually written by the person who signed off on it. As sometimes happens, the initial analysis did not confirm the client’s suspicions or expectations, but pointed more to the other way …. a confirmation of the author who signed off on it.  Always have to go with what the text analysis shows!
